Last Thursday, Jan 11, 2008 about 1:30 a.m. my phone rang. It was the call that no parent ever wants to get. Our son, Ryan, who is 20. Had been in an auto accident. He was not wearing his seatbelt. The truck hit a power pole, rolled several times and our son was thrown 92 feet. When we were called he was being air lifted to ORMC. (in orlando). He has severe head trauma. They think, if no further complications arrive, that he will be ok. He may have some motor skill problems or some speech problems and we will have a long road ahead. He has not been able to be taken off the venhalator yet b/c when they took him off his oxygen level dropped too low. Even though this is a tough time for our family Jehovah has blessed us immensely. Family members have helped with money, a sister at the hall went by my bank today and made a deposit to my account...we were able to get into a place called Hubbard House for $40 bucks a night that includes meals and tomorrow will be moving to the Ronald McDonald House.... $15.00 a night. We are about 2 - 2 1/2 hours from home. We have to figure out what to do long term work wise... I carry the health insurance so I have to make sure to keep working. Ryan wasn't covered with health insurance so tomorrow I have to figure out disability, ssi etc for him. I guess over the next few months I will have much to learn.
Just keep us in your prayers. There can never be too many people praying.

I am so sorry to hear about his accident :( I hope everything goes well and that he doesn't have any damage! Keep on praying to Jehovah and He will sustain you.
