  • Settling...

How long is it going to take to be done and settled in this house??

I have moved so many times in the last 20 years that I have seriously lost count. I have to say, however, this is the first time we have moved with an infant in tow.  Our kids were always school aged and teenagers so they were a great help... for some reason my 10 month old refuses to help... go figure.  I'll be on a roll getting things done and he wants demands my attention.  Can you believe the kid thinks I should stop what I am doing to feed him... or change a diaper??  LOL

So, needless to say things are taking quite a bit longer than I anticipated to get settled.  My garage looks like a bomb went off with boxes here and there with only things we have found we "needed" missing from them,  my pictures are not hung on the wall yet,  none of my books have been unpacked except for our Bibles and those we needed for meeting already.  I know, I'm slowly making progress and "I'm getting there" but life hasn't went on hold so I could finish.

In the five weeks since we have moved here hubby's truck has needed repair, my son's car has broke down numerous times, we have battled illness and allergies, doctor's appointments have snuck up on us, a grandchild has been born, a colt has been born, and rain has delayed us on many days.  We will get there.... I just hope our lease isn't up by the time we do!

  • Updates and babies...

It's been quite some time since I updated here.  I have a new grandson born a week and a half ago.  His name is Jaxson Wade and he is adorable... here, I'll prove it.

He was rather small which surprised us because the doctor had been telling her he was a big baby.  He was 6 lbs 7 oz and when he left for home 6 lbs 2 oz.  After lugging on my son these days it's like holding onto air.

Here is Aiden now.  My 9 month old big boy.  Time sure does fly.  He is pulling himself up and walking on the edge of things, crawling everywhere, eating food from the table with our help and babbling away.

Oh, and he likes to eat shoes.

  • My lil guy... yup new photos...

So, last week I was changing my son and getting his jammies on him.  I bent down to get his jammies from the drawer below his changing table and when I popped back up a second later this is what I found.

I hollered to my hubby (thankfully he heard me, he is having some hearing issues)  to bring my camera... so glad he heard me.

About Me

  • Married - two kids at home Oldest step daughter (#5) is married with three kids and one on the way. My oldest daughter has moved out, she has a 1 year old son. My step son Ryan has graduated from high school and is out in the big ole world. His girlfriend and him are expecting their first child. We went from five home to two home and boy is it quiet. My son was recently accepted to dual enrollment in college. Since I will be driving him daily I have decided to go to college too. One month after starting college I found out I was expecting a baby!! This came as quite a shock as we were told about 6 years ago we were unable to have more children. I will be taking spring semester off. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I was baptized Oct 28, 2006 in Daytona, FL On April 17, 2008 I started Weight Watchers. I lost 30 pounds. This, according to doc, is what triggered me to ovulate again... hence... our son is due in May! Since becoming pregnant I have lost another 8 p

@dryvona - I felt well enough today to go do the major grocery shopping that has been getting thrown to the side the last couple weeks. I sure am beat now though. Thanks for checking on me... it is appreciated.
